CityVille promotion coming to your farm soon? --->SHARE

Share
Share FarmVille will soon get another taste of the city in one of Zynga's infamous cross promotions. While we covered this still unreleased item a few weeks ago, our friends at FarmVille Freak have found more images confirming that this CityVille promotional item will more than likely hit FarmVille soon. In addition to an image of the item itself, the blog found promotional artwork that will likely be placed in the game as pop ups.

However, we still haven't an idea in the slightest as to when or how this item will be implemented. But if you look closely at the item, it looks as if the Cow and Chicken are plotting a building design. With that said, we can imagine that players will be sent into CityVille on a quest that involves either what FarmVille players know best, farming, or creating a building of some sort. However, this is purely speculation. We'll have to wait and see what Zynga has cooking for another journey into the city. Share

CityVille Franchise update patches issue with deleting HQ --->SHARE

Share
Share You can lift your fingers from that big red button now, mayors. Zynga introduced a small update to CityVille yesterday that, when opting to delete a Franchise Headquarters, causes a pop up confirmation message to appear. The message, pictured above, asks players to confirm whether they would like the HQ to be sent to their inventory, which is somewhat old news.
http://www.blogcdn.com/blog.games.com/media/2011/01/cityvilleremovepopup.jpg
Before this change, all deleting a Franchise HQ did was send it to your inventory. This change, well, informs you of that, giving you a chance to stop it. This must have been a pretty major issue to warrant what appears to be a reactive update. This change comes after several recent tweaks to the game's interface, optimizing several aspects of gameplay that before took several actions to perform. Considering the game is little more than a month old, we doubt this marks the end of game fixes and change Share

Get One Free Goat in FrontierVille!!!! --->SHARE

If you want the goat above (which is, by the way, alive and kicking), you must click this link. Enjoy!

Wishful Features: Buying Varmints in FrontierVille !!!! ----->SHARE

Share
Share
Perhaps now, more than ever, our newest Wishful Feature holds a lot of weight. Being an avid FrontierVille player, who has gone through, and completed, all of the available missions in the game (save for one), I've had to experience my fair share of waiting times; that is, waiting for a Snake to appear while removing Skulls or Thorns, or waiting for a Groundhog to pop up while harvesting crops planted specifically to lure them out.
With the sudden disappearance of Bears in FrontierVille stopping most users' progress with the last 12 Days of Christmas mission, this brings about the wish for a new feature that would help in so many ways - the ability to purchase Varmints.
Now, I know that many might call such a thing "cheating," or at least an "exploit" of the system, since you could literally purchase a Varmint, place it on your land, scare it off (or whack it, as the case may be), and have that count for your current mission progress, but when taking a look at the current alternatives - that being to unlock tasks requiring Varmints with Horseshoes, isn't that essentially the same thing?

FrontierVille: Where have all of the Bears gone? ---->!!!-->SHARE

Share
Share Many users, myself included, have gone through a veritable forest's worth of trees, chopping down everything in sight, and have yet to receive a single bear. It's always seemed that when you are on an active quest for an item, the item will be less likely to appear on your land, in order to offer challenge in completing whatever quest you may be working on at the time, but this has gone a little bit too far, in the eyes of many players.
http://www.blogcdn.com/blog.games.com/media/2011/01/frontierville-bear.png
The official FrontierVille forums have exploded with thread after thread discussing the lack of bears. One thread in particular has 200 posts, most from users that have chopped down multiple trees (more than a dozen, in some cases) and have yet to receive a bear. Some lucky users did receive a bear after just one or two trees, but for those that haven't, a very real concern has now developed, that being - "Will we get a bear in time, before the mission expires?" FrontierVille: Timed Missions will expire tonight if you don't accept them now! --->SHARE

Share
Share
If you've been holding off on accepting one of the many Timed Missions we've seen released in FrontierVille over the recent weeks and months, now is definitely the time to do so, as when the year of 2010 comes to an end this evening, it will take with it your ability to accept four Timed Missions in the game. Say goodbye to the mission, but also say goodbye to any exclusive prizes that you could earn if you had accepted them.

The expiring missions are the Playtime!, Mutton Bustin', Hoedown, and Barbecue Party missions. We have complete guides on how to finish each and every one of these missions, so don't feel overwhelmed if you've yet to start any of them. Remember, depending on the mission, you'll have varying amounts of time (2 - 5 days) to complete these missions once you accept them. There are tons of rewards to earn here, like Experience Points, Coins, and even some decorative items, including the musical Fiddle, which is otherwise only available as a Horseshoe item. Share
